On the board of the Pearce Institute
When the Pearce Institute closed in 2001 we gave an undertaking during the campaign to save the building we would act to ensure that the Community would have the majority of places on the new structure. To achieve this aim we were involved in the drafting of the governance documents, the Memorandum and Articles of Association and argued that the balance of places be in favour of our local community. Unfortunately owing to various pressures of work these places have not been filled, and following on from requests from within the Govan community we are working to ensure that that these provisions of the constitution are now be attended to as a matter of urgency and given priority. The Trustees handed over the Assets of the Pearce Institute to the new limited charitable company namely “The Pearce Institute” with effect from 1st January 2010 and as we approach our seventh AGM on the 12th of October 2017 full community membership is essential.
It is essential that we ensure that we keep our membership records up to date. We have sent all members new forms to complete, if you do not receive this form please contact me and I will have a form sent out so that we can have your details updated.
An application Form for Individual Membership and User Group Membership is available below:
